Professor, Operations University
Brent Bolton
Brent has been teaching Operations and Supply Chain Management at San Diego State University for nearly a decade. Brent received his undergraduate degree in Business Management from Arizona State University and his MBA from Point Loma Nazarene University. He is a Certified Professional of Supply Chain Management (CPSM) and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Brent currently holds a position as Vice President and General Manager of Supply Chain for a Healthcare Consulting firm. In this role, Brent oversees a team of Strategic Sourcing Managers who are responsible for over $1B annual spend. Prior to working in health care, Brent held various roles in the manufacturing industry, serving in Materials Management, Global Sourcing, Planning, Forecasting, and Inventory Management.​​

Certified Master Black Belt
Jerry M. Wright
Jerry has trained and certified thousands of people in Lean and Lean Six Sigma at all belt levels over the last 30 years. Jerry received his BS in Mechanical Engineering at Arizona State University and his MBA from the University of Phoenix. He is a certified Master Black Belt and was the lead instructor at UCSD for Lean Enterprise for 10 years and also taught at SDSU for 3 years before retiring from university-level teaching. Jerry was the Founder of LEANwRIGHT, Inc. an award-winning, Lean Six Sigma consulting firm. Jerry is the author of the 2024 international bestselling book, "The Insanity Trap: What Your MRP Consultant Won't Tell You." Jerry has worked for 40+ years in aviation, consumer products, medical device, electronics, logistics and power distribution industries in Quality, Operations, Engineering, and Executive leadership roles.

Rylie Washington
Rylie is a senior at San Diego State University, pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a minor in Finance. She is an active member of the Women in Business Club, where she has developed strong leadership and organizational skills. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for driving results, Rylie excels in overcoming obstacles and managing projects.

Business Services Manager
Roxanne Ertsey
Roxanne is a Senior at San Diego State University, majoring in Business Management with a minor in Statistics. A numbers‑first problem solver, she blends coursework in financial mathematics, statistical analysis, and data programming with tools like Excel, Access, and SAS. She supports the SDSU Fowler College of Business as an Instructional Student Assistant for Operations & Supply Chain Management courses and stays active in SDSU Women in Business.

Rhylee Magazinovic
Rhylee is a senior at San Diego State University majoring in Communication with minors in Management and Religious Studies. Passionate about leadership, storytelling, and innovation, she brings a strategic communication lens to business topics. Rhylee enjoys connecting with professionals to uncover insights about operations and supply chain management and translating those conversations into engaging written and video content.

Lean Six Sigma Trainer & Business Consultant
Mike Osterling
Mike is a seasoned coach, consultant, facilitator and author with more than 25 years of hands- on experience guiding organizations through Lean transformations. As president of Osterling Consulting and former leader of San Diego State University’s Lean Enterprise Certificate Program, he’s helped companies strengthen performance and build cultures of continuous improvement in industries including manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, banking, energy, and construction. A Six Sigma Black Belt and Certified Lean Trainer, he’s fluent in Spanish and has coauthored several respected books, including the Shingo Prize–winning Value Stream Mapping and The Kaizen Event Planner.
